The Clinical Pharmacy Manager (CPM) for Weston General Hospital is an exciting new role to lead the clinical pharmacy services at Weston General Hospital.
An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, experienced and adaptable registered Pharmacist to fulfil an essential role within the senior leadership team of this small, friendly but progressive inpatient department. The pharmacy team at Weston General Hospital aim to deliver high quality, patient-focused clinical services to the patients of our Trust. The post holder will play a significant role in developing and expanding the clinical role of all members of the pharmacy team to meet the needs of the hospital and wider trust.
Main duties of the job
The role directly manages and leads the Clinical pharmacy teams providing pharmaceutical care and medicines optimisation. The CPM will promotes and supports the safe and effective use of medicines at Weston General Hospital.
The role also includes deputising for the Associate Director of Pharmacy - Weston for the management of Pharmacy services team at Weston General Hospital. As part of the wider UHBW trust, this role will form part of the senior clinical pharmacy leadership team, gaining support from other senior colleagues.
You will have recent hospital experience including provision of clinical pharmacy services to a range of specialties and preferably also management experience but most importantly a drive and desire to develop the skills of the pharmacy team to improve patient safety.There is an on-call (remunerated per session), weekend and Bank holiday work requirement with this post. Part time / job share applications will be considered.
