Job summary
There is an exciting opportunity at the Royal Surrey Hospital for a Junior Doctor (IMT 1-2 equivalent) starting on 2nd August 2023 for 12 months (until 6th August 2024).
The job consists of three 4-month rotations starting in either Geriatrics/Care of the Elderly or Gastroenterology and rotating throughout medicine, ICU and/or oncology depending on the placement you are assigned.
This job is a fantastic opportunity to develop acute medical and emergency medicine experience.

Main duties of the job
- Clinical duties include the day-to-day management of patients following a comprehensive geriatric assessment approach.
- Team members should attend a daily SAFER board round to ensure prioritization and efficient use of time.
- Working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure patients are managed effectively and efficiently
- Proactively liaise with patients families / next of kin (with patients permission where they have capacity or otherwise in their best interests)
