Job summary
The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an outstanding
candidate to become its new Chief Operational Information Officer. This is an exciting
new role and aims to strengthen and sustain the important bridge between
informatics and our clinical operational teams.

Main duties of the job
You will be a member of the
triumvirate leadership of the Department of Clinical and Operational
Informatics, working alongside the Chief Clinical Information Officer and the
Chief Nursing Information Officer. You
will be responsible for the delivery of robust information management, clinical
coding, performance and data quality functions to support the delivery of
both day-to-day operational management and longer term strategic planning.
The successful candidate will have a
passion for translating data into insights that clinical and operational teams
can use to drive improvements in the quality and efficiency of the care that
they deliver. You will work closely with
our Associate Directors of Operations, providing both support and critical
friend challenge to ensure plans are driven by evidence and benefits can be
quantified. In addition to supporting
members of the Royal Surrey team, you will take a leading role in the
realisation of our joint ambition to deliver a joined-up view of health and
care across Surrey Heartlands Health and Care Partnership.

- Significant experience in a senior leadership role.
- Experience of working in the health sector.
- Evidence of leadership in the field of data and or digital technology
