Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an
enthusiastic and motivated dietitian to join our team of 36 at The Royal Surrey
NHS Foundation Trust in Guildford.
We are looking for someone who has good rapport
with patients and staff. We need a team
player who takes pride in providing an efficient and effective dietetic
service. You will be part of the ICU Team providing a service to critical care
patients on ICU and higher dependency areas. You will also work alongside and
supervise the Nutrition Support dietitian, assessing patients nutritional
needs whilst on parenteral nutrition
Main duties of the job
The Dietetic
Department at The Royal Surrey Hospital has an active audit and research
culture, promoting clinical effectiveness in patient care. You will join a
forward thinking and innovative dietetic team, which undertakes the training of
A, B and C placement students, and is involved in teaching at the University of
Surrey as well as supporting students with dissertation projects.

Qualifications
Essential
- BSc in Dietetics or equivalent and registration with HCPC
Desirable
- Hold, or be working towards a Masters degree or other post-grad course to masters level, or equivalent qualification by experience
- To have successfully completed the PENG course
- Member of the British Dietetics Association
Experience
Essential
- Significant post registration dietetic experience of managing patients on artificial nutrition support
- Experience and knowledge of nutritional management and experience in ICU
- Evidence of continuing professional development and advancement of knowledge
- Experience of clinical audit and/ or research
- Experience in clinical supervision of dietetic students and willingness to participate in student training

- Contribution to management of staff i.e. supervision/development of staff, recruitment
- Experience in service development
- Membership of relevant specialist groups such as PENG or Dietitians in Critical Care (DCC)
