Job summary

We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic clinical audit Facilitator to join a well-established Quality Governance team.

Your main role will be to support the Trust and its clinicians in the facilitation of a wide range of clinical audit activity and you will be a key member of the Trusts Quality Governance Department. The post holder will support a wide range of work from mandatory national audits to locally identified audits. Support for compliance with national guidance (NICE guidance) will also be part of this role. The post holder will have responsibility for supporting audit for specific divisions.

Main duties of the job

As an Audit Facilitator, you will have a good awareness of the concepts of clinical audit and effectiveness and of the general quality governance agenda within the NHS. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing and will need to be able to analyse and clearly present complex data. You will be expected to work closely with clinicians and staff across the Trust and should have a flexible, team player approach to your work.

The post is based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital main site but there may be a requirement to travel to some of our community sites.

This post is required to support the delivery of the Trusts quality governance programme in the operational delivery of clinical audit across the Trust. To support and facilitate clinical leads in ensuring clinical audits are effective and robust and generate learning to aid improvements in clinical services.

The post holder will work closely with clinical teams and other members of the Quality Governance team to promote and support clinical audit activity throughout the Trust. This may be through supporting national audit and NICE compliance, or supporting other Trust audit priorities. The post holder will support promotion of best practice in relation to clinical audit to ensure that audits across the Trust are robust and generate learning to support quality improvement.
