Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a full time HPB clinical fellow (ST6+ level) within General Surgery at the Royal Surrey Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The post is available from April 2023 April 2024, subject to satisfactory progression.

This is an ideal post for candidates who are peri-CCT and wish to gain more clinical experience across the full range of benign and malignant HPB surgery. The post will involve working with the HPB team in theatres, outpatient clinics and looking after the HPB inpatients. The post holder will also have the opportunity to participate in research projects and undertake quality improvement initiatives which could result in publication and presentations at national meetings.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be expected to work as a senior clinical fellow level (ST6+) within this team and will be required to work in the operating theatre, take part in daily ward rounds, assist in out-patient clinics, participate in MDT meetings, and perform other relevant work as directed by the Consultants. This post is available from April 2023 April 2024.
