The Role:The Logistics Officer position will have a pivotal role within the Goods In Department.
Main duties of the job
o Sort & deliver the roll cages, tote bins/pallets from NHS Supply Chain into delivery areaso Deliver all non-stock goods to delivery locations including medical consumables/printing/ stationery/hotel services consumables/furniture (beds/desks/chairs/fridges)/computer equipment/medical equipment.o Ensure that a signature of receipt is obtained for all non-stock items deliveredo Collection daily of empty roll cages/tote bins, cages are to be collapsed and returned to the agreed area.o Collection daily of any 'returns' (goods) for both NHS Supply Chain or any other suppliers and take back to the Receipts and Despatch Areao Assist in the receipt of non stock goods delivered by suppliers - check delivery note for accuracy, check outside of parcels for any damage, sign for contents (goods)o Assist in checking the contents (goods) against the computerised order and delivery note and enter the details onto the Trust's computerised 'E' Procurement systemo Create the 'Goods Receipt Note' via the computerised system and attach to the goods
