Physiotherapy Assistant

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working person who would enjoy working within a team and are keen to learn new skills.This job will involve working closely with the Physiotherapists treating a variety of conditions in Orthopaedics, Neurology, Elderly Care, Medicine, Oncology and Surgery, as well as providing administrative support as necessary.

There is a requirement for flexible working as the service operates over 7 days and bank holidays. No previous experience is required although previous experience in a health care setting is desirable. Training and support will be provided to help you develop relevant skills. Applicants must also have good written and spoken English.

  • Maths and English GCSE to adequate level or equivalent.

Knowledge

  • Willing to undertake a core competency training programme as soon as possible following appointment which must be passed - equivalent to 2 weeks full time study.

  • Willing to undertake specific competency training on each rotation.

Desirable

  • Experience of working within a care setting.
