Job summary
This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team working in Emergency Care. The Emergency Department is a friendly, exciting place to work currently undergoing a large transformational project with exciting new developments and opportunities.
We are looking for a Receptionist to work on our friendly reception desk in the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of reception duties working in A&E and processing Patient data. You will also act as a focal point of communication between Patients, Ambulance Crews and Medical / Clinical staff.
The successful candidate will have a friendly and professional attitude, good IT and organisational skills and be able to accurately complete / input data. The successful candidate will also need to be able to deal with difficult and stressful situations with courtesy and empathy.

This appointment is for a night shift position, with working hours from 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM, 20 hours per week over two night shifts.
Main duties of the job
To provide a calm, friendly, and welcoming reception to the Emergency Floor, incorporating A&E, the Emergency Assessment Unit, and Ambulatory and Emergency Care, ensuring all patients, visitors, and staff feel supported, respected, informed, and valued throughout their time in the department.
