We are looking for a Senior Physiotherapist on a fixed term basis (to cover maternity leave) for our Orthopaedic Patients team.
We have fantastic opportunities for staff who have completed their basic rotations or who are looking to expand their existing clinical knowledge within inpatient Orthopaedics.
We pride ourselves in supporting staff with good team and department structures and morale. We run specialist clinical training, non clinical training, student training as well as supporting external courses. You will be supported by Team Leaders and Senior peers. We also have superb working relationships with our Consultants and Ward Teams. Our clinical staff are involved in Trust level clinical and nonclinical projects and have opportunities to drive service development, audit and evidence based practice. This dynamic high profile team is at the forefront of pathway redesign and takes the lead in case management and discharge planning of elective and trauma patients. The Royal Surrey is a Trauma Unit and the Physiotherapists lead with the management and fitting of hard collars and other spinal orthoses. In addition to this we have routine elective surgery, as well as an Orthogeriatric led fracture neck of femur service. Patients are seen initially within the acute Trust and then moved to a subacute site for further rehabilitation.
There is a requirement for flexible working as the service operates over 7 days and bank holidays on a roster system.
