SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy) Programme Manager

Fixed term post of 12 months

This exciting opportunity to work in a very busy Cancer Centre at the Royal Surrey.

The Oncology division puts patients at the heart of everything we strive to deliver and achieve. The Oncology division is about to embark in an exciting £6+ million expansion and refurbishment project of the outpatient areas to improve and modernise the overall patient experience, increase the centre's footfall and provide spaces that better serve patient privacy and dignity.

Main duties of the job

This fixed term contract of 12 months is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to work with the organisations within the Surrey cancer alliance to improve patient pathways for SACT.

The post holder will be working as part of the Surrey Heartlands Trust Provider Collaborative (TPC) SACT clinical transformation programme. The post holder will be responsible for leading quality improvements, delivery initiatives and service redesign across the e Surrey Heartlands TPC SACT provider units.

The post holder will be a highly experienced specialist within the field of SACT delivery and patient pathway delivery. The role requires system leadership, stakeholder engagement, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

The four Surrey Heartlands providers of Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, Ashford and St Peters Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust lead Surrey Heartlands Trust Provider Collaborative, driving collaborative initiatives.

Essential

  • Professional qualification in cancer field, with expert knowledge in SACT delivery
  • Health Professions Council (HPC) or RCT Registration
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Project Management qualification or equivalent training

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Extensive knowledge of SACT delivery
  • Proven track record of significant successful operational management experience within an acute Trust in the NHS, or equivalent
  • Proven track record managing NHS teams and services at a senior level
