In this position you will play a pivotal role in shaping data-driven decisions that support important clinical research across health and social care. Working within the Data and Analytics team, you will develop innovative reporting and digital solutions that will impact the delivery of research across the region. By analysing key data, managing projects, and engaging with regional stakeholders, you will directly contribute to advancing healthcare research and improving patient outcomes. You will also work as part of a wider team, helping study support colleagues deliver complex, high priority, system wide projects. Main duties of the job
Working as part of the Data and Analytics team, you will help design and deliver innovative data collection, analysis, and reporting solutions. As a line manager, you will also support the development of the Analyst Officer. Strong analytical skills, project management, and communication are essential as you engage with partners and help drive initiatives in this rapidly evolving field of clinical research. You will also play an active part in national projects to ensure alignment with the overall NIHR Research Delivery Network strategy.

This role will be part of the regions Data and Analytics team, which forms part of the national RDN Data and Analytics function, who collectively work to deliver national projects alongside regional priorities and innovation.This role will be responsible for the development and delivery of a range of reporting and digital solutions which facilitate and underpin all services and functions of the RDN. The postholder will also line manage the Analyst Officer. Line management of staff members will include undertaking staff reviews to identify training and development needs, and establishing how those needs will be met, and managing performance against agreed objectives. - Postgraduate qualification (eg. Postgraduate Diploma) in a relevant subject or equivalent level of experience or Undergraduate degree supplemented by specialist training or equivalent experience
- Background in research and development, science or healthcare

- Significant relevant experience in health information or mathematical/statistical related field or equivalent experience of information handling and analysis gained in a work environment
- Experience of managing the development of data visualisations, via dashboards or other tools, which support business decision making and efficiency increases
- Experience of managing the development of data visualisations, via dashboards or other tools, which support business decision making and efficiency increases
- Experience of delivering a customer-focused service
- An understanding of and experience in Agile concepts/methodology
- Significant experience with Microsoft and Google platforms
