We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Junior Infrastructure Support Engineer.
The Junior Infrastructure Support Engineer supports the Infrastructure Systems Managers who are responsible for the administration and optimisation of the organisation's IT data centre, network, telephony, client devices and associated components to achieve high performance and availability of a range of business applications.
The role calls for someone to be a specialist resource within IT and as such will have, or will develop, technical or specialist excellence across the range of technologies and services that fall under the responsibility of the infrastructure team.
The role will often have opportunities to work on project work and the adoption of new technologies in line with business requirements.
Main duties of the job
The Junior Infrastructure Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring the availability of selected client/server applications, networks, firewalls, telephony and client devices, configuring all new implementations and supporting the development of processes and procedures for the ongoing management of the technology estate.
Based in Guildford, Surrey, the Digital Services team currently operates between 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday; the successful candidate will have a flexible attitude and be able to adjust to the operational needs of the Trust as and when required.

- Additional specialist knowledge acquired through post grad diploma or equivalent experience

- Experience of working in an IT delivery environment
- Experience of using technology to improve working practices
