St Luke's Cancer Centre is focused on providing excellent patient pathways and patient-centred care. We strive to continuously evolve to reflect the technical advances within Radiotherapy. We are one of the first UK departments to have a Varian ETHOS which enable us to deliver adaptive Radiotherapy. This complements our six Varian TrueBeams and 3 CT Scanners across the two sites. We use MR imaging in treatment planning and further development of PET/CT is underway.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will oversee the quality management of the radiotherapy department, in addition to providing operational managerial support to the radiotherapy service in St Luke's Cancer Centre. You will work closely with the other Operational managers, Professional Head of Radiotherapy and their deputy and other key stakeholders. This role is vital in ensuring that we are providing high quality care with effective quality processes.

Additionally, your wellbeing is important to us and as such we offer clinical staff a 9 day fortnight working pattern giving you the opportunity to have a fixed day off every two weeks.

We have on-going departmental, NCRN and commercial clinical trial activity with many trials currently open to recruitment and further ones in development.

Some routine working at our satellite centre at East Surrey Hospital will be required to disseminate knowledge and information and to support the general operational management rota.

  • Advanced all round knowledge of radiotherapy techniques
  • Advanced use of computerised department record and verify systems

Desirable

  • Experience of delivering service improvements or other major projects
