Job summary
The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic midwife to join our innovative and award winning maternity service.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 7 position to provide leadership to ensure effective management of a case loading team.
The maternity department at the Royal Surrey is highly successful; it is rated 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission, has achieved Gold Accreditation under the Unicef Baby Friendly Initiative and has achieved all 10 safety actions as a part of NHS Resolution's CNST scheme. The maternity department prides itself on the high quality care it provides to women and families; this is achieved by focusing on innovation, quality improvement and staff health and wellbeing.
Main duties of the job
This post holder will need to be passionate about the provision of continuity of carer, be highly organised with an ability to maintain safe provision of care for women within the team. This will include reviewing clinic capacity, activity and staffing and supporting the clinical provision of care in a caseloading model. The post holder will be motivated and demonstrate an ability to facilitate exceptional patient experience as well as provide robust leadership to the midwives within the team.
The Continuity Team Leader will provide clinical leadership, facilitate professional development and operationally manage one or more continuity midwifery teams.
