Job summary
An Airway Fellow post is available for 12 months from 07th February 2024 and is suitable for ST 5, 6, 7 or post CCT equivalent wishing to gain further experience in Advanced Airway Management.
Main duties of the job
This post will focus on the following areas:
- Anaesthesia for head & neck oncology.
- Anaesthesia for maxillofacial surgery.
- Anaesthesia for ENT surgery.
- Teaching.
- Research.

- To work as part of the Anaesthetic Team as a registrar providing support in theatres/obstetrics
- Attend theatre lists as allocated on the rota to administer anaestheic for elective/emergency operating lists.
- To participate in the Registrar on-call rota 1:8 pattern.
- Department academic and audit meetings are held regularly and the registrars will be expected to take an active part. This provides opportunities for development of academic and presentation skills. Many other educational opportunities are available

- Evidence of instructor status for ALS/ other life support training
