The RSFT Ophthalmology Department has an exciting opportunity available to Band 5 Registered Nurses.
We are recruiting for Band 5 Nurses to become part of a well-established and progressive Ophthalmology Department. The successful candidate will work in the busy Outpatient Clinic alongside the MDT and we offer a specialist service providing expert care to a wide group of patients. Regular ophthalmic clinics, including pre and post-surgery are delivered together with a daily emergency Triage service.
All our staff members are valued and there are opportunities for development within a supportive and friendly team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills and have a willingness to further develop and learn.
Ophthalmic experience is desirable but not essential as in-house training with a mentor will be provided.
Main duties of the job
To deliver and maintain a high standard of clinical and professional nursing care in the ophthalmic setting. To assist in planning and delivery of evidence based quality nursing care and support, adapted to patients needs and circumstances, under the guidance of the team leader and department manager.
