Job summary
A new and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a General Adult Inpatient Specialist Grade to be part of the multidisciplinary teams on the Derwent Unit, Chesterfield.
This is a non training-grade and applications are invited from experienced speciality doctors who have demonstrated the ability to work clinically at a very senior level. The role will provide an alternative career path for experienced specialty doctors who wish to progress to Consultant grade through the portfolio pathway.
Main duties of the job
You will join a team of experienced and supportive colleagues who share good camaraderie and excellent working relationships.
The post holder will demonstrate a commitment to further development in Adult Inpatients, be up to date with required training, and have experience in dealing with patients in this setting. You will work alongside other professionals within the team including the ward manager, the clinical lead, Consultant Psychiatrist and resident doctors. The postholder will be required to provide some clinical supervision to the resident doctors and support the team with training and educational sessions.
