Job summary
We are pleased to offer an internal secondment to the Business Manager role for 4 months in the medical Directorate.
The successful candidate will be integral to developing this new role within the triumvirates and senior medical workforce and will work within the divisions to support the delivery of the Trust Strategy.
Main duties of the job
The BM is expected to support the Executive Medical Director in ensuring adequate governance process is established with the Directorate in line with the Trust governance and to produce reports to appropriate committees including Medical Senate/Local Negotiating committee.
The Business Manager is expected to work closely with the Executive Medical Directors and other senior leaders within the Medical Directorate (including Research, Pharmacy, IMT...) in driving the ambition of the bringing excellence in the delivery of all the portfolio's aligned to the medical directorate.
Some of this includes having a robust and effective process in job planning and annual appraisal for doctors, developing and implementing clinical plan, recruitment, supporting clinical engagement in a multi-disciplinary way in transformation of services based on care models and care pathways, promoting staff development and medical education, research and embracing digital plan and implementation of Patient and Carers Race Equality Framework and to tackle health inequality in our population.
The post holder will provide an increased focus on the delivery of streamlined, efficient and high-quality service provision that are managed and benchmarked nationally, with a focus to constantly improve and sustain performance. This role will lead on the project management of the cost reduction programmes and organisational change.
