Job summary
This consultant Multi Professional AC (MPAC) post is an exciting new role within Low Secure Unit in Forensic Secure Care and Derbyshire. It is an opportunity to shape the workforce strategy within secure care and our Provider Collaborative IMPACT.
The MPAC Consultant will provide strong, visible clinical leadership within the developing pathway for male secure care and provide expert guidance and support to other areas of the organisation that require a forensic opinion. You will work alongside a medical consultant to lead the MDT and provide a patient centred; forensically informed service. You will undertake responsible clinician on call duties.
You will hold a clinical caseload and provide Nurse led Consultant care to a set of people who will be detained under both Part 1 and Part 2 of the MHA. You will support individuals using the service to improve and manage their mental health, work towards long term rehabilitation goals and manage ongoing risks in preparation for community living. You will support staff and lead the clinical team to understand and respond to needs of the men within a secure care setting.
You will support the SPOA process within the PC IMPACT, providing assessments for suitability of Low Secure Care.

You will carry a clinical caseload and will be the Responsible Clinician for those under your care. Focused on ensuring that patients on your caseload always receive person centred care and are managed safely, effectively and with compassion is a priority. As the Responsible Clinician you will lead, coordinate, and deliver care and complete all statutory duties required.
