Main duties of the job

This JD is currently in the process of being reviewed

Specific tasks for this rolewill include but not be limited to:

  • Support Area Service Manager - Transforming Care and Deputy Area ServiceManager on the TCP Programme and commissioning for individual's agenda, as part of the wider Building the Right Support programme.
  • Understand the learning disability, autism, mental health and children's services, both internal and external to Derby and Derbyshire to support assurance of appropriately commissioned services for individuals (placement, packages of care, etc).
  • Lead on the delivery of the newly published (January 2023) Dynamic Support Register and Care (Education) and Treatment Review, NHSE Policy and Guidance across Joined Up Care Derbyshire

Work collaboratively with all system partners.

  • Lead on specific projects and support the development and implementation of projects internally and across Joined Up Care Derbyshire.
  • Engender matrix working across the team and with other teams across Joined Up Care Derbyshire.
  • Line management of team members.

Knowledge, training and experience

Essential

  • Educated to degree level in management studies, equivalent level qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
  • Experience of managing risks and reporting
  • Experience of drafting briefing papers at SMT level
  • Understanding of the Public sector
  • Significant experience in Learning Disabilities, ASD and Mental Health and recent working knowledge of national policy

Desirable

  • Clinical or social care registration or relevant experience working with learning disabilities and/or autism and mental health
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project principles, techniques and tools, such as Prince 2 Foundation and Microsoft Project.
