Ward 36 is an acute mental health ward that provides assessment and treatment for working age adults adults whose presentation cannot be safely managed within a community environment.
The team is open and friendly with an emphasis on working together and creating a positive working environment.

In addition to clinical leadership, there is an operational management component to the role with responsibility for supporting the Senior Nurse in the management of the ward budget, sickness management, training and staff development.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Lead Nurse, who has an interest in providing care to adults and older adults within an acute inpatient service.
You will work within a supportive, multi-disciplinary team including Consultant Psychiatrist, Head of Nursing, Matron, Senior Nurse, OTs and other Allied Health Professionals, Nurses, Assistants and Recreation Activity Co-ordinators to provide high quality care.
Main duties of the job
- Providing strong clinical leadership, ensuring evidence-based practice is delivered to improve the quality of and shape responsive services.
- Monitoring and ensure maintenance of standards of care that support safe high quality practice throughout the twenty-four hour period.
- Supporting junior colleagues within the multi-disciplinary process.
- Supervising and promoting staff development.
- Be part of the Bleep Holder rota .
