Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to work in a CQC 'Good' Children and Young People's (CYP) IAPT Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, covering South Derbyshire.
The post holder will work within the CAMHS Urgent care and assessment Pathway, in-reaching to the Youth Offending Service (YOS). CAMHS YOS works with children and young people open to the Youth Offending Service (YOS) who are experiencing signs of mental health, behavioural or emotional concerns.
The post holder will support in assessing and treating children and young people's mental health difficulties, working with young people who may have traditionally found it difficult to access services.
In accordance with national and local properties, and clinical guidelines the post holder will be responsive to the needs and views of local children, young people and their families with additional vulnerabilities.
Main duties of the job
To offer robust case management, care coordination and mental health support to those children and young people open to YOS with emerging mental health difficulties, acute and complex presentations.
To ensure the effective delivery of services to young people made subject to a youth rehabilitation order (YRO) with a mental health treatment requirement.
To provide high quality assessment and treatment for young people and their families, utilising knowledge and skills for interpretation, analysis of patients' needs, care planning and coordination.
Be responsible for delivering IAPT complaint C&YP interventions in line with national guidelines and adhere to the DH National Programme and session by session outcome measures. The post holder will act as a role model to assist in the embedding of outcome measures (ROM) and outcome orientated practice in the team.
