We currently have an exciting opportunity for a band 6 OT within the community support team for adults with learning disabilities (CST), up to 30 hours/week.

We are looking to recruit an OT with experience of working with adults with a learning disability OR an OT with good transferable skills.

We would welcome applications from experienced band 5s and current band 6s who are wanting to develop both their clinical and professional skills, as well as developing their leadership skills through opportunities within the community support team, our Neurodevelopmental Services and DHCFT.

The post will be within the Derby City and County community support teams and due to the nature of this role, the post holder will need to be a car driver or be able to demonstrate that they can travel within the southern Derbyshire area.

We are seeking to recruit an OT who is enthusiastic and motivated to work with the adult learning disability population, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and developing good working relationships with colleagues within health and across multiple agencies.

You will use your core OT skills to carry out occupation focused assessments and interventions working in a variety of community settings.

Main duties of the job

You will have access to support from the CST OT team, the wider Neurodevelopmental Service (NS), and professional networks.

CPD is encouraged and you will be given opportunities to attend the NS band 6 OT support group to share clinical knowledge and training, and also the Trust wide OT practice development group to further develop your clinical and professional skills.

Regular supervision and individual annual development reviews are provided.

Part time hours up to 30 hours per week available.
