As a Service Manager in Talking Mental Health Derbyshire (TMHD) you will be joining a small and welcoming management team of professionals managing staff across Derbyshire. We are part of Derbyshire Healthcare NHS FT working with 4 partner organisations and you will be employed for this 12 month vacancy by Derbyshire Healthcare.

We have a compassionate approach to delivering high quality clinical care, offering access across Derbyshire for anyone over 16 years of age registered with a Derbyshire GP.

As a qualified Step 3 clinician you will provide leadership and management of a team of IAPT clinicians and carry a small caseload.

You will be supported by our wider management team alongside our Area Service Manager and Clinical Lead to maintain our high quality, patient focussed service against national and locally agreed targets.

You are welcome to have an informal chat about the post or visit our main base of Ilkeston Resource Centre by prior appointment.

Main duties of the job

Day to day leadership and management of a team of staff providing case and performance management for all staff within your area.

Contribute to service improvements as a member of the management team and work with our partner organisations to manage waiting times and patient choice options within your area of responsibility.

The management team meets regularly to discuss service improvement and updates on current work and projects. NHS Talking Therapies is a constantly changing environment within Healthcare.

We have area meetings on a regular basis attended by staff, service managers, the ASM and Clinical Lead keeping staff up to date with service developments. This is particularly important to maintain a feeling of being part of a team in touch with service developments.

Service managers support staff on a duty basis, triaging referrals as appropriate and working with the wider health teams to ensure that appropriate care is offered.
