Job summary

Applications are invited for Consultants in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to fill a 10 PA and a 8 PA post in the Derby City CAMHS Recovery Service. (for the 8PA post, it is envisaged the sessions would be worked over four-five days with flexible working negotiable). We would welcome LTFT applicants looking to job-share.

The post holders will be based at Temple House in Derby, a very pleasant base near the town centre with good parking.

The post holders will primarily be responsible for delivering a quality clinical service through direct work with patients, Consultation and liaison with other professionals in the team, MAT, Social Care, Education, General Practice, Public Health Nursing and Community Paediatrics.

Main duties of the job

The Consultant position will be integral to the multi-disciplinary team, providing medical and clinical leadership, working closely with other Consultants, Clinical Lead in the Team, and the Operational Team Manager to provide strategic development to the CAMHS service.

As part of the ongoing service transformation the service is now moving to a service pathway model that will enable children and young people to receive the right service, at the right time and place, in line with evidence-based practice.

Our service particularly prides itself in providing excellent Consultant peer support. The post involve working closely within a multi-disciplinary team.
