Due to staff development, the CAMHS Service has a full time Band 5 post within the supported care pathway.
The posts offer us the opportunity to develop creative ways of supporting young people and families in our busy service.
The post holder will be supported to develop knowledge and skills in working systemically with children and families within our experienced, multi-disciplinary teams.
We welcome newly-qualified applicants and will support preceptorship.
We also welcome applications from mental health Nurses currently working with adults who want to develop a career within CAMHS.
The service has moved to a locality based model to ensure strong team working and high levels of locality knowledge.
The Recovery team has bases in Derby City, Amber Valley and a team across Erewash and South Derbyshire.
The successful candidate will predominantly be part of the Derby City team, which has direct clinical leadership within a clinically-led service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will carry a caseload of young people with support from the experienced multi-disciplinary teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of children and young people who present with a range of mental health difficulties, with the support of the wider team.
CAMHS is part of the CYP-IAPT initiative and uses Routine Outcome Measures to influence and evaluate all interventions offered.
The post will involve undertaking supervised case co-ordination and managing a caseload, offering individual evidence based Interventions and the Planning, Implementation and Evaluation of all Interventions/care offered.
The post holder will work, in partnership with the CAMHS leadership team, Medical Consultants and Multi-Disciplinary Teams, ensuring the highest level of clinical practice in assessment, case management, care coordination and treatment.
Practitioners need to ensure that the best evidence-based care is given to children, young people and their families, within the resources available to the service, with anemphasis upon working with complex presenting difficulties and multi-agency networks.
We welcome applicants with transferable skills from other areas of practice and through the delivery of robust supervision and training opportunities we will aim to develop your knowledge, skills and experience within a CAMHS IAPT Service.
General hours of service are between 8.00am-8.00pm to suit both Clinician and Service.
