Job summary
Due to expansion within the Derby City Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team an exciting opportunity for a full time, 1 year, Band 7, Clinical Lead has become available.
Your main base will be at Kingsway Hospital Derby.
This post is open to Nurses, Occupational Therapists or Social Workers.
The Derby City Crisis and Home Treatment Team is a large multi-disciplinary team, consisting of a Consultant Psychiatrist and junior doctors, Service Manager, Clinical lead (already in post), Psychologist, NMPs, Lead Nurses, Occupational Therapist, Social Workers, Engagement Workers, Pharmacy Technician and Administration staff.
We are also in an exciting innovative position of piloting a new role within the team, of an Approved Clinician as further means of enhancing our biopsychosocial support provided to the people we serve.
The post holder will also work closely with Neighbourhood Teams based in Derby city and other statutory and non-statutory organisations alongside the clinical and leadership / management staff.
This well-established, multi-disciplinary team offers a high quality assessment and home treatment service where possible as an alternative to hospital admission, to individuals experiencing acute mental health crisis.
Main duties of the job
We are currently working to enhance our team in line with the Fidelity model for Crisis services in conjunction with all CRHTs in Derbyshire.
You will work within the service specifically as part of the MDT and leadership team, and have close links with the other clinical lead in the team.
You will participate in monitoring and auditing of the service and its developments and be involved in specific aspects of patient care. Additionally, you will work with other colleagues across assessment services to enhance care provision.
We are looking for an individual who shows compassion and genuine warmth, someone who is engaging and focussed on person centred care and satisfaction.
You will be able to keep our commitments, demonstrate respect and dignity, work well under pressure and have very good communication skills, you will be working in a fast paced workplace where diversity is a focus.
You will have experience as a qualified practitioner within mental health and have strong leadership skills.
