Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to work in a CQC 'Outstanding' Children and Young Peoples (CYP)IAPT Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service covering Derby City and South Derbyshire.

Thepost holder will work in the CAMHS Early Access Pathway, specifically the Assessment and Short Term Intervention Specialist Team.

ASIST offer initial assessment and brief intervention to children and young people presenting with mental health difficulties, with the aim of preventing long term stays within service.

The post is a full time post, 37.5 hours per week.

Our service offers extended hours to between the days of Monday to Friday, 8am-8pm, which the post holder would be expected to contribute to.

We offer flexible working hours to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder would be expected to contribute to the initial assessment clinics, offer one to one intervention for up to 8 sessions, facilitate group interventions and work alongside the wider CAMHS service.

As a CYP IAPT Service we endeavour to offer an accessible, evidence basedservice to children and young people, that delivers the right intervention at the right time.

We use Routine Outcome Measures to evidence what we do and influence our practice.

Newly qualified and recently registered nurses/practitioners are encouraged to apply and would be supported with their professional development.
