Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust are excited to advertise this newly developed CAMHS CBT Lead Role. We would consider applications for full or part time hours.

The successful post-holder will be part of the developments taking place across the Trust regarding the Psychological Therapies Organisational Structure review and will lead in the provision and transformation of CBT across the CAMHS Service Line.

Main duties of the job

  • To lead the CBT service within CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental health Services) DHCFT (Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust) and to link with the wider CBP service across the Trust.
  • To provide a highly specialist Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy service by utilising advanced theoretical knowledge and skills to clients within Derby City and South Derbyshire CAMHS.
  • To work in a consultative role, offering advice, clinical expertise and supervision from a CBP framework to other health care professions.
  • To practice autonomously, within professional and British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) guidelines and DHCFT and CBP department policies and procedures.
  • To research clinical practice for audit, policy and service development, alongside systematic evaluation and development of treatment protocols.
  • In collaboration with other senior clinicians implement teaching and training within the service at introductory, intermediate and specialist professional level
  • Manage and have oversight of the waiting list
  • Maintain oversight of the CBP B7 and B6 trainee caseloads and ensuring timely discharge and throughput as clinically appropriate
  • Liaise with Service Line Clinical Lead and CAMHS Leadership team to develop CBP across the service ensuring delivery of groups and individual therapy as per NICE Guidelines.
  • Ensure that CBP team are trained and able to deliver evidence based CBP as per NICE guidelines and in accordance with latest evidence.
