Job summary
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and highly skilled occupational therapist for this exciting and challenging post helping children achieve their best outcomes in home school and leisure.
The post holder will be responsible for the day to day delegation of clinical work, staff and student supervision, in addition to contributing to audit, service development and innovation.

We operate flexible working arrangements within core hours.
Regular supervision is provided and we encourage personal development through internal and external training opportunities.
A mobile phone, laptop and full IT training will be available.
A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential to this post due to the requirements for regular travel, allowances are payable.
Main duties of the job
- To manage a community caseload of children with complex needs within a variety of settings.
- Offering an effective highly specialised standard of Occupational Therapy assessment, treatment and advice to parents/carers and schools using clinical reasoning and evidence-based/child-centred principles to ensure a quality of service is delivered.
- To be responsible for Occupational Therapy provision within the multi-agency team around the child; providing specialist advice to other professionals to ensure delivery of an effective service to children.
- To provide leadership to junior staff through mentorship, supervision and appraisal, to contribute to the supervision of Occupational Therapy students on practice placements and to provide clinical supervision for colleagues to ensure staff achieve their full potential.
- To participate in the planning and development of the service holding responsibility for defined delegated projects to ensure a quality service is delivered against the modernisation agenda.
- To work closely with the multi-agency team to ensure Occupational Therapy is fully integrated into each child's care programme.
