Job summary

Due to retirement of the current post holder, we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Non-medical prescriber with a passion for working within South Derbyshire Adult Community Mental Health Services.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will be expected to participate in the provision of specialised mental health assessments and the delivery of care and treatment which is evidence based and in line with current government guidelines
  • The post holder will be expected to lead, promote and support a prescribing service as an integral part of the care delivered by the Team.
  • In addition to working closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist and other team members, they will link with GPs, primary care practitioners, community matrons, pharmacists and statutory and voluntary agencies within their prescribing role
  • They will be expected to share prescribing information, evidence and rationale for prescribing decisions.
  • To lead in the promotion, development and implementation of prescribing, care and treatment within the Team.

Essential

  • Professional qualification, e.g. RMN, OT pharmacist and relevant registration

  • Education to degree level or equivalent experience

  • CPD relevant to current post.
