Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Lead Nurse to join the Enhanced Care Ward. We are looking for a motivated, committed individual to join our innovative team.
The Enhanced Care Ward is a 10-bedded unit for patients with additional complex care needs. The ward is a fast-paced environment in which every day is different.
You will be dynamic, organised, enthusiastic and motivated with evidence of continued professional development.
You will need excellent communication and assessment skills and be able to use your initiative and keep calm in a busy and unpredictable environment.
You will join a nurturing team providing individualised, recovery-focused assessment and care planning for adults of working age.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of a leadership team that drives standards both clinically and operationally.This would include deputising for the Senior Nurse in their absence.
You will be driving change and offering assurance that our care meets the standards not only expected of us, but that our patients deserve.
The post holder will be responsible for establishing operational and clinical service mechanisms that support safe and high quality care throughout the twenty-four hour period.
The post holder will be part of our bleep-holder role on a rota basis, which lends itself to bed management, and support of the wider unit.
The post holder will be expected to take responsibility for supporting nursing team, working within governance processes to support the implementation of individualised and responsive care.
