10 PAs per week to commence in February 2023

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialty Doctor providing medical input alongside 1.0 WTE Consultant Psychiatrist in the south of thecounty of Derbyshire Inpatient and Community Rehabilitation services. The duties and responsibilities for rehabilitation include both inpatient andin the community.

This role will offer the successful candidate excellent experience in both community and inpatient psychiatry.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team and will give the majority of their time to providing the non-consultant medical input toour Inpatient Open Rehabilitation Unit (Cherry Tree Close- 23 bedded unit), support community rehabilitation services, upon development, andparticipating in multidisciplinary meetings and multiagency meetings in supporting discharge arrangements for patients.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have at least a minimum of 1 year of Psychiatric experience and ideally 2 years.

They will be required to provide the day to day psychiatric care for patients on Cherry Tree Close being involved in attending weekly clinical meetings and Multidisciplinary team meetings in the unit where they may be the chair. They will be involved in medical and mental health review of the patients in the unit each week and work collaboratively with the inpatient consultant in the formulation and management of care. They will liaise with colleagues in Community, Acute and Secure settings as part of process of accepting referrals or making referrals and discharging patients as appropriate.
