Job summary
The Older Adult CMHT for Killamarsh and North Chesterfield are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team.
This Band 5 Registered Nurse position is open to Newly-Qualified applicants or to those wanting to try working in a community setting, within a supportive environment.
The CMHT offers support to over 65's with both functional and organic mental health presentations.
The team is multi-disciplinary in nature and comprises of a Consultant Psychiatrist, Service Manager, Clinical Lead, Nurses, OTs, Support Workers and Administration Support.
Regular supervision is available, with the opportunity to progress and develop. Continued professional development is actively encouraged.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the job include:
- Supporting a mixed caseload of patients with both functional and organic presentations.
- Assessing, risk screening and developing person-centred care plans.
- Monitoring treatment and intervention.
- Administering depot injections.
- Supporting junior staff and students within the team.
- MDT working.
- Identifying safeguarding issues and acting on these in a timely manner.
- Working with health and social care partners, such as GPs, District Nurse and Social Workers.
