Job summary

The MHLT provides a 24/7 assessment and referral of service users in the Emergency Department and Ward of the Royal Derby Hospital. As a Clinical Lead for Older Adults you will provide leadership to the Band 6 Liaison Team Practitioners who undertake assessments, support development of the service provided, and clinical governance over the standards of services provided by the team.

You will clinically supervise the Band 6 Liaison Team Practitioners and support the Service Manager and other Clinical Leads with the MHLT in your capacity as Older Adults Clinical Lead. See the attached job description for additional details.

Main duties of the job

  • Clinical leadership of the Older Adults speciality of the MHLT.
  • Clinical supervision and guidance of the Band 6 Liaison Team Practitioners in the area of Older Adults MH assessment and care planning.
  • Support with complex assessments of service users where this is required.
  • Leadership in developing the services for Older Adult MH care within the RDH.
  • Supporting the Service Manager in ensuring adequate staffing where required and the adequacy of the service.
