Job summary
The Health Improvement Nurse role is to support harm reduction and health services for service users within drug treatment. This will include the delivery of BBV tests and Hepatitis B vaccinations take-home naloxone, health Assessments and remote ECGs, as well as developing links with primary care and secondary care.
The role requires the delivery of bespoke harm reduction interventions, Health Assessments, BBV testing and vaccinations, smoking cessation advice and referrals, as well as general health management. The focus of the role will be on improving the uptake of BBV testing and Hep C vaccinations as well as wider health improvement for those accessing substance misuse treatment.
You will be working with a dedicated team of keyworkers, prescribers and health Improvement Nurses
Main duties of the job

You will liaise with Mental Health service Primary Care and Hospitals. The focus of the role will be on improving the uptake of BBV testing and Hep C vaccinations as well as wider health improvement for those accessing substance misuse treatment.
