School Therapist/Counsellor (Highfield)

Job summary
The YoutherapY team (Part of Options4CYP) is continuing to expand. We now have an opportunity for a qualified therapist, with experience of providing therapy to children and young people, to work in conjunction with Highfield Leadership Academy.
This vacancy is term-time only.
You will be joining a well-established team of young people's therapists and assistant practitioners. You will be providing assessment and therapy for young people aged 11-16 who have psychological and emotional difficulties, based in Highfield Academy.
The successful candidate will have completed a psychotherapy/counselling/CBT qualification to at least Level 4 Diploma , and will be a member of a professional body (i.e. BACP/BABCP/NCPS or equivalent).
Accredited counsellors (BACP/BABCP/NCPS) will be paid NHS Agenda for Change Band 6, non-accredited will be paid at Band 5.

Main duties of the job
To provide a high-quality therapy service to children and young people referred with a range of generic issues and mild to moderate mental health problems.
To formulate and implement therapy normally within a brief structured time frame or a contracted number of sessions.
Working autonomously within professional guidelines; the overall framework of the NHS; team policies and procedures; and the Thrive Framework.
To provide advice and consultation on client's care to professionals and non-counselling colleagues including school staff and other referrers.
