Job summary
The Trust is looking to recruit an experienced Dentist to work in the Morecambe Dental Education Centre as a Dental Clinical Supervisor.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide chair side clinical supervision for dental students (BDS years 3,4,5 and DT year 2,3) treating patients in the Morecambe Dental Education Centre.
The vacancy is for three days per week, working on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Applications for part of this vacancy will be considered.
Main duties of the job
The clinical supervisor will be expected to participate in the supervision and assessment of student performance related to clinical activity undertaken in the Centre. They will work collaboratively with the full time Senor Clinical Teachers and the dental staff of the Specialist Dental Service to enhance clinical teaching.
The Clinical Supervisor will be required to screen patients and to provide a limited amount of emergency access care.
