An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Sexual Health services team based in West Lancashire. The job is 30.75 hours per week and flexibility to work across our sites in Skelmersdale and Ormskirk is required.
Lancashire Sexual Health services is part of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and provides contraception and sexual health services throughout the county,
We operate from several clinical hubs based in Blackpool, Preston, Lancaster, Burnley and Ormskirk,
Main duties of the job
The main duties of this role are :-
Assisting clinicians & being the patients advocate during examination and procedures.
Administrative duties, recording of observations such as :-Blood pressure, height, weights and venepuncture.
The successful candidate would be expected to be flexible and prepared to work some evenings and Saturdays.

The post holder will be required to assist doctors and nurses in order to provide a high standard of care to patients attending all areas of Sexual Health Services ensuring they promote the patient dignity and comfort.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To assist the Doctor or Nurse throughout the clinical examination or clinical procedure of patients in sexual health clinics.
- To offer emotional support to patients during the examination procedure.
- To act as a chaperone to both medical and nursing staff as required according to trust policy.
