Ward 10 are looking for a ward clerk to join their team.
We are looking for someone dynamic to join our happy hardworking team.
Clerical experience is a preference however training will be provided. Please read the job description for further information about the role.
Main duties of the job
Main Objectives:1. Assists the multi-disciplinary team in the giving and maintaining of high standards of service, in a timely, cost effective way.2. First point of contact for patient, visitors and staffs non clinical enquiries.3. Ensures that patients' confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Personal Service:1. Receiving and making telephone calls, liaising with the nursing staff when appropriate.2. Telephone and face-to-face communication with patients, relatives and staff regarding a range of topics.3. Welcoming patients and relatives to the ward, introducing them to their environment, for example showing them to their bed space.

Filing case notes and maintaining good upkeep on medical notes
Assisting the day to day maintenance of stock levels including ordering stock and none stock items
Arranging transport for patients on discharge. Helping the ward manager with the rosters. Up dating patent, staffing and knowing how you are doing boards
Reporting faulty equipment
