Job summary
A full time vacancy has arisen on the Lancashire Suite for a Band 5 Staff Nurse with an interest in Cardio-Thoracics and Cardiology. The Lancashire Suite is a 6 bedded Ward in the Lancashire Cardiac Centre which provides nursing care primarily for both Private Patients and NHS Patients. At present it is used as elective orthopaedic surgery.
Main duties of the job
This role provides Nursing Care for inpatients - pre and post operative. The Lancashire Suite is part of the Cardiac Centre but does often take other specialities when the needs of the service arise.

Band 5 duties include medicine rounds, Doctor's rounds, routine pre and post procedure of Patients. At present the Ward provides care for other specialities such as Elective Orthopaedics and trauma orthopaedics
There will be scope to become involved with becoming a Link Nurse and/or Key Trainer on the Ward and to develop further.
