Job summary

An exciting opportunity to join the Ear, Nose and Throat Team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals has arisen for a Locum ST3 on a six month basis with a possibility of extension further.

On-calls will be available depending on service and discussion with the Department.

Main duties of the job

  • Join a non-resident, single site, single speciality 1 in 5 2nd on-call rota for ENT

  • See patients in scheduled outpatient clinics as per rota

  • Attend Daycase / inpatient theatres as per rota and co-ordinate cases going to emergency theatre

  • Lead daily ward rounds, support junior doctors covering wards, same day emergency care and emergency department, ensure timely completion of paperwork and discharge of patients.

  • Review internal hospital referrals
