Job summary

The Facilities Division of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals is looking to recruit an proactive manager with a 'can do attitude' to become part of our dedicated team supporting the Trust.

As a member of the Facilities management team you will interact with a number of stakeholders on a wide range of issues. The role is varied and offers opportunity to support Trust patients, staff and visitors.

The Facilities Manager role being advertised will be responsible for car parking, non patient transport, main entrance, accommodation and supporting the voluntary services manager. This is a great opportunity to work in an extremely varied role while providing an efficient and effective service to Trust patient staff and visitors.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team in Facilities, the successful candidate will have operational oversight for a number of services.

The main responsibilities for these services will be:

  • Management of the teams providing the services
  • Achieving all National and Local standards associated with services being provided
  • Ensuring effective teamwork, budgetary compliance, business compliance, performance management from teams at all times
  • Service development to support the Trust goals
  • Change management

The Facilities Division at Blackpool Teaching Hospital provide a range of Soft FM services to the Blackpool Victoria Hospital site. Operating 24/7, 365 days a year, we are committed to provide excellent services to patient, staff and visitors.

  • HNC/HND in Facilities or business related subject
  • Sound knowledge of NHS and current National initatives

Desirable

  • Degree in Facilities Management or related subject
  • Active membership of NHS professional body or equivalent

Experience and Knowledge
