Job summary
To provide a high standard of individualized patient care for all women and their partners attending the early pregnancy unit up to 16/40 gestation
All care should be person centred supporting women suffering pregnancy loss ,or assessment for viable pregnancy.
Patient advocate providing support medically, socially and psychologically whilst attending the clinic
Well organised, flexible, resilient and able to meet the challenges of a busy clinic
You will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate high quality care.
The role can be applied for if you have either a nursing or midwifery qualification or are dually qualified.
Main duties of the job
Staff Nurse/Staff Midwife led service managing problems in early pregnancy supported by Senior nurse and clinicians.
Supporting women and their partners undergoing problems/pregnancy loss.
Management of Miscarriage and Ectopic Pregnancy.
Working closely with other agencies
To provide non judgmental care and management to those choosing Termination of pregnancy, supporting patients and there families offering specialist advice, support for women undergoing Termination of Pregnancy
