Job summary

The Apprenticeship and Widening Participation Team are responsible for clinical and non-clinical Apprenticeships, Widening Participation and Work Experience at the Trust. The team are part of Workforce Education, which is a function within the Directorate of Workforce and Organisational Development.

This is a Fixed Term contract, however, we can support a secondment for internal colleagues with Line Manager permission.

Main duties of the job

The role will include the coordination of the Trust's Apprenticeship and Functional Skills activities. The post holder will be the first point of contact for key stakeholders both internally and externally. The scope of the work will cover a variety of staff across the organisational hierarchy.

You will be expected to provide professional advice and support to all matters relating to Apprenticeships. You will also support external careers and educational events alongside Widening Participation and sector professional colleagues.

The role will see the post holder will work closely with internal colleagues across the organisation and hierarchy and externally too. Externally, collaboration will be with other health and social care providers, education providers and local Schools and Colleges. System wide collaboration and contribution is also expected via the Integrated Care Board (ICB).

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • Level 3 Business Administration or relevant industry experience.
  • GCSE Maths Grade A-C/4-9 or equivalent.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience working with students, specifically on Apprenticeships, early Careers and employability programmes.
  • Experience of taking part in internal and external education, recruitment and promotional career events.
  • Working in a compliant manner with regard to the Apprenticeship Funding Rules (ESFA).
  • Experience of developing a service to meet operational strategy.
  • Experience of managing and delivering multiple projects and delivering goals within defined timescales.
  • Experience of using multiple IT systems to include Microsoft Office packages/365 and Microsoft Teams.

Desirable

  • Experience of encouraging different groups of people to take up careers in the NHS.
  • Experience of working in an educational setting.
  • Experience working with Training Providers for educational purposes.

Knowledge
