Job summary

Sexual Health North Localities are delighted to advertise for the key managerial role within Sexual Health Services of Administration Manager. This Band 4 post, is 30 Hours per week, in our service.

Sexual Health North Localities covers the areas of Lancaster Morecambe and Carnforth, we are a very busy fast paced service, who offer exceptional client care to a wide variety of clients. We offer both Genito Urinary Medicine (GUM) appointments and Contraception (Family Planning) or a combination of these in our CaSH clinics.

As Administration Manager, part of your role will be to monitor these areas and ensure staff training and development is up to date and maintained and when communicating with our clients in whichever format, their information and confidentiality is maintained.

This is a challenging multifaceted role, that is looking for a dynamic administrator with exceptional organisational and communication skills, to support and work alongside the clinical staff to ensure the smooth running of our clinics and service. The post holder by supporting the clinical teams will aim to achieve and improved performance within the service against both local and national targets.

Main duties of the job

  • To directly line manage administrative and clerical staff in SexualHealth Services, which is located over 5 sites.
  • To supervise on a day-to-day basis the administrative operationalissues within the locality in relation to the delivery of services.
  • Ensure that there is continuous administrative cover for the clinics inNorth Lancashire. Incorporating the central booking number and clinic reception/ admin support.
  • Manage administrative staff sickness/ absence. Conduct return to work interviews and arrange meetings with HR as per policy.
  • Undertake staff annual appraisals, One-to-one's and support staffdevelopment and well-Being, Monitor staff performance Provide a supportive framework for clerical and secretarial staff to enable maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
