An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Position Based Access Control (PBAC) Specialist.

We are looking for an individual who is committed, self-motivated, able to work well within a team to support various projects.

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, forward thinking and flexible individual. Candidates must possess excellent communication, influencing and organisational skills and have experience of SQL and Access Database.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the overall implementation and administration of all systems for which the Digital Identity team(s) are responsible for, such as access request/provisioning systems, and identity management systems. The post holder will also be responsible for the implementation of Position Based Access Control (PBAC) throughout the organisation and its customers, including the defining and implementing of the systems and processes surrounding the total life-cycle of access control positions. The post holder will be required to liaise with members of staff at all levels and work with departments to understand their systems and processes before grouping the access rights for multiple systems into defined access control positions that can then automatically be applied/revoked upon a member of staff being employed into a particular post.

  • Understanding and practical application of current Identity and Access Management principles and guidelines.
  • Understanding of NHS structures
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including knowledge of setting up and monitoring databases and spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of organisation Quality and governance issues in the use of IT and clinical data, including Data Protection.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment.

Desirable

  • Position Based Access Control (PBAC) administration Experience
  • Evidence of working in the local community
  • Experience of working on or with National Smartcard systems
