Job summary

Bench enhanced pay per hour £28.91

Bench standard rate of pay per hour £13.87 - £16.89 depending on experience and skills

There are current enhancements of pay across community nursing, which are payable to all community staff nurses including those on zero-hour contracts. However, these enhancements are subject to withdrawal.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a community staff nurse to work on the Fylde Coast supporting teams across the Fylde Coast

This post is a zero-hour bench contract with significant flexibility in the hours and location of work to suit your availability. We can accommodate a wide variety of hours and would love to talk to you about how you could be a member of our team.

There is no requirement to commit to any specific hours as part of your application to join the bench. Interviews - Candidates can chose from face to face interviews or remote interviews,time that suits you, which can be outside of core office hours.

IT skills and car driver essential, enhanced CRB clearance required.

Main duties of the job

Supporting our community nursing teams will offer you the chance to work with district nurses and other health and social care professionals within a highly skilled multidisciplinary neighbourhood team.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Clinical responsibilities include:

  • Develop and demonstrate underpinning knowledge and clinical competence at advanced skills which include:
  • Central line care
  • Wound care (simple and complex)
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Vaccination and Immunisation
  • Phlebotomy (Difficult and routine)
  • Syringe driver use and care
  • Doppler assessment - diagnostic & ongoing
  • Cross-prescribing
  • Chronic Disease reviews
