To work within the Corporate Services Division to lead the creation and development of Atlas BFW Management Ltd (Atlas) communication, engagement and marketing strategies, overall branding and image and to drive the respective implementation plans in conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and other operational managers across the organisation.

Main duties of the job

The post involves the provision of effective communications advice and support to the SLT and operational management teams, as well as managing multiple projects with key stakeholders within the business incorporating a variety of deliverables across the full communications, engagement, marketing and customer service mix.

The post holder will be responsible for brand development and management. This involves the development of Atlas' brand positioning - ensuring the brand remains recognisable, up to date and exciting to customers and ensures that branding is consistent across all corporate literature and content.

The Company, which began trading in March 2017, was established as a wholly owned subsidiary company of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and provides fully managed healthcare facilities services, including medical devices management, capital and estates services and facilities management, to clients across the Fylde Coast and North West region.

  1. To lead the development and implementation of the organisations internal and external communication, engagement and marketing strategies and associated delivery plans. To effectively communicate these across all internal departments and external stakeholders appropriately.
  2. Provide strategic communications, reputation management counsel and marketing advice to SLT and other operational managers across the organisation to deliver innovative and engaging activities to support their projects.
  3. To lead the development of and champion a proactive organisational culture working effectively with the SLT and operational management teams.
  4. To encourage a culture of employee involvement and openness and lead regular staff meetings as part of the sustainable development of two-way communication across the organisation.
  5. To produce and circulate the staff survey across the organization and to produce and communicate a comprehensive analysis of results. To lead qualitative workshops and to assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement plans in conjunction with the SLT and operational management teams.
  6. Lead the design, development and implementation of the client communications, engagement and marketing strategies and work effectively with the SLT and operational management teams to influence and drive improvements as required.
  7. Lead the development of the organisations brand positioning and strategy to support the companys goals and to act as a brand guardian implementing consistent communications across all marketing channels. To develop close relationships with key journalists, writers, broadcasters and influencers.
  8. Directs and controls the quality and consistency of all internal and external company literature. To manage Atlas online presence and ensure the company website is maintained and a social media strategy is put in place
  9. To monitor and analyse competitor activity and provide recommendations to SLT on product trends and opportunities including opportunities for partnership, sponsorship and advertising.
  10. To comply with BFW Management Ltd agreed policies and procedures including but not limited to Health and Safety, and Equal Opportunities Policies, the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act, Financial Management Regulations and other relevant NHS and Government Regulations, Directives and priorities.
